The Toronto Cycling Committee is an advisory committee to Toronto City Council and is limited to dealing with issues within the city limits of Toronto. Toronto cyclists, especially Toronto Bicycling Network (TBN) members, don't just ride within those borders. If they have concerns that need to be dealt with at a provincial level they need another organization to take on that issue.

There is a new organization forming that wants to take on that role. VeloOntario is being set up to promote the interests of Ontario Cyclists. One of their initial projects is to lobby for a Provinical Cycling route. If you want to learn more you can come to the Toronto Bicycling Network's (TBN) Education night on this organization. The details are below quoted from TBN's web site . Non members are welcome.
