The Toronto Police Services are starting a campaign this month (June 2001) to educate cyclists who don't follow the rules of the road, or the sidewalk for that matter.

The 'Cycle Right' campaign will target cyclists who disobey the traffic laws, for example: riding the wrong way on one way streets, riding on sidewalks, or riding through stop signs or red lights without stopping. A 'Cycle Right' pamphlet will be issued to cyclists to remind them of the laws that apply to cycling.

On Monday June 11th the campaign will be launched at 11:00 a.m. at the north side of Queen Street West at Peter Street. There is a press release with more information.

For more information on the laws that apply to cyclists see the following links.
