Update to:
Phase 1 of Leslie Street Greeening underway Posted: Apr-07-06
This week as part of the Leslie Street Greening Project being undertaken along Leslie Street between Lake Shore Blvd. and Commissioners St. the existing Martin Goodman Trail has been torn up. Cyclists are now being directed to the gravel road bed that is the base of the realigned trail. I talked with one of the people working on the project and they said that the paving will happen in about two weeks. | | Cyclists on the Martin Goodman Trail are directed on the the gravel road bed for the new trail until the paving starts in about two weeks. -photo taken 4/20/2006 | You can see more info on this project in the previous article Phase 1 of Leslie Street Greening Underway. I said in the article that paving was to start in a couple of weeks. I just found out that the start date has been pushed back. I don't have a new estimated date. Hopefully it will be soon.
