Sadly there has been another cyclist killed in Toronto. Advocacy for Respect for Cyclists(A.R.C.) is planning a memorial for Monday Sept. 18th, 2006. You can see more details on their web site www.respect.to.

I haven't seen details of the crash to indicate whether or not side guards on trucks would have prevented this death. Regardless the issue of truck safety for cyclists needs to be addressed.
