1) Are you familiar with the Toronto Bike Plan and will you support its implementation of as one means of reducing car dependance as outlined in Toronto's Official Plan?Strongly Support
Comments: Concerns..we should also enforce "strong laws" for "reckless bikers"—the new bike today can encourage younger riders to be a little too reckless.. Hence creating accidents. It is very important to ensure a) education on riding b)policing and c) education on equipment ie maintenance and upkeep of bicycles

Comments: WE should be very careful when deciding or encouraging riding in the winter … No matter how safe we may feel .. please remember.. our safety is always first….I do not encourage riding during icy and snowy days…"It is best we park the bike and use the TTC

2005$4.5 M1.85%$1.2 M1.66%
2006$6.0 M2.46%$1.5 M2.08%
** Based on 2003 Parks capital budget of .1 M
* Based on 2003 Works capital budget of .67 M
Will you support the above budget requests to implement the Bike Plan?No Answer
Comments: It is very difficult for me to answer this question…These are numbers which have to be considered.. We now have a new Provincial government and of course would prefer to look at this when I am elected and have a better feel for the numbers..However, I would support the construction of lanes and routes..
