Comments: Yes, I am familiar with the Toronto Bike Plan. As a licensed Naturopath, I am a strong advocate for environmentally friendly forms of transportation and I fully support its implementation.
 
2) Would you support requests to amend bylaws to exempt bicycles from traffic calming turn restrictions and entry restrictions on streets in your ward?No Answer
Comments: There are currently many streets that set aside entry restrictions for cyclists. I would agree as long as amending these by-laws would indeed be safe for cyclists, motorists and pedestrians.
 
3) Do you support measures to ensure that the City of Toronto's policy of keeping bike lanes clear of snow is carried out; and would you support expanding this policy to off road paths?No Answer
Comments: Yes, I support keeping bike lanes cleared of snow as part of maintaining city streets

Comments: I fully endorse expanding bike paths and creating a network, subject to the availability of funds.

Comments: Yes I would work to get these routes moved through the approval process. I would also work to promote private sector funding to try to ease the financial burden on the public purse.
 
5b) Do you support the idea of starting the approval process on one of the proposed bike lanes, paths or routes in your ward by hosting a community meeting during the first 6 months of your term? If so which route do you think is a priority?No Answer
Comment: Yes I would certainly consider hosting a public meeting in the first 6 months of my term and I would use that meeting to get more information from cyclists themselves as to what route they feel ought to be prioritized.
 
6) Do you support improved integration between Cycling and The Transit system by such measures as: Bike carrying racks on TCC Buses, and, building secure bike parking facilities at TCC stations?No Answer
Comments: Secure bike facilities at TTC stations would help promote the use bicycles and I would work towards the installation of such facilities at all TTC stations within the Ward.

Comments: Yes this could only benefit everyone.
 
8) Would you support dedicating more resources to promote bicycle commuting by employees of private and public sector employers, including City of Toronto staff?No Answer
Comments: Yes, in the form of an awareness and safety campaign sponsored as a joint venture between the private and public sector.

Comments: Yes, Toronto has so many miles of safe wonderful scenic bike paths through ravines, along the Don Valley, and along the waterfront that could easily be promoted for cycling enthusiasts worldwide.
